Terms & Conditions

VedicDisha (vedicdisha.com)

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By using the Website, creating an account, submitting a booking request or placing an order, you agree to them.

1. About these Terms

1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of vedicdisha.com (the "Website") and to all information, tools, consultations, reports, religious services and products offered through it by the owner and operator of VedicDisha ("VedicDisha", "we", "us", "our").

1.2 By accessing or using the Website, creating an account, submitting a booking request, placing an order, or ticking an acceptance box, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1.3 Our Privacy Policy, and any cancellation, refund, shipping or returns policy or notice that we publish on the Website, form part of these Terms for the matters they cover.

1.4 Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any right you have as a consumer under applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

2. Meaning of some words

  • Booking request: a request for a Service made through the booking form or by any other means.

3. Using the Website and your responsibilities

3.1 You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. A person under 18 may use the Website only through a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms and is responsible for that use.

3.2 You are responsible for the information you give us, for the decisions you make, for checking anything important before you act on it, for using the Website lawfully, and for keeping your account details secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

3.3 If you enter another person's details (for example a spouse, child or relative), you confirm that you have their permission, or are their parent or guardian, to do so.

3.4 You are responsible for your own device, browser, internet connection and any charges your provider makes.

4. What the Website offers

4.1 The Website offers information and Tools about Vedic astrology and Panchang, including Birth Chart (Kundali), Kundali Matching, Panchang and Muhurat information, Rashiphal, planetary and transit information, general astrological content, mantras and shlokas (Sanskrit text with transliteration and meaning), mythological stories, articles, and a shop. We may also offer consultations, reports, and pooja, hawan, jaap and similar services.

4.2 We may add, change, limit, suspend or remove any part of the Website, any Tool, Service or Product at any time. We do not promise that any particular feature, Service or Product will be available or will continue to be offered.

4.3 Descriptions of traditional benefits, meanings or uses on the Website express traditional beliefs. They are not promises.

4.4 Parts of the Website may be machine-translated. Translations may be inaccurate. The English text is the original and prevails if there is a difference.

5. Astrology and religious content: no guarantees, no reliance

5.1 Nature of the content. Vedic astrology, Panchang and religious rituals are traditional systems of belief and practice. Their methods and conclusions are interpreted differently by different people and are not established by scientific proof. Everything on the Website is offered for general information, traditional guidance and personal reflection.

5.2 No guaranteed results. Nothing on the Website or in any Service, report, prediction, chart, Rashiphal, matching result, Muhurat, consultation, remedy, ritual or Product is a promise or guarantee that any event or outcome will or will not happen. This applies to every area of life, including marriage, relationships, divorce, pregnancy, childbirth, health, disease, career, employment, promotion, business, investments, wealth, financial gain or loss, education, litigation and legal matters, travel, property, family matters, personal decisions, and spiritual or religious outcomes.

5.3 Different results are normal. Astrologers, schools, traditions and calculation methods can give different results and interpretations for the same person or date. A different result elsewhere does not mean that ours, or theirs, is right or wrong.

5.4 General and opinion-based. Predictions, general readings and Rashiphal are general and are not written for your individual circumstances. A consultation or report reflects the opinion of the person giving it, based on the information you provide and the tradition they follow. It is not fact and not a guarantee.

5.5 Your decisions are your own. You alone are responsible for any decision, action or omission based on information from the Website or from VedicDisha. Please do not make important decisions on astrology alone. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not accept responsibility for any loss, damage, missed opportunity or other consequence that results from relying on such information.

5.6 No professional advice. Nothing on the Website is medical, mental-health, legal, financial, investment, tax or other professional advice. Please consult an appropriately qualified professional on those matters. Do not delay, disregard or stop professional advice or treatment because of anything you read or are told through the Website. If you feel distressed or unsafe, please contact a qualified professional or emergency service.

5.7 Health. We do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. Astrology cannot diagnose illness or predict a medical outcome with certainty. No pooja, hawan, jaap, mantra, remedy, gemstone, rudraksha or other Product is offered as a medical treatment or cure. Any mention of health in traditional descriptions is a statement of traditional belief only. If you have a health concern, please see a qualified doctor.

5.8 Mantras, shlokas, stories and Sanskrit texts. The Mantras & Shlokas pages, the Mantra of the Day and the Mythological Stories pages share traditional texts and narratives for study and devotional reading. The Sanskrit text, transliteration, meanings, source notes and descriptions of traditional use are prepared with care from published sources. They may still contain errors or differ from other editions and traditions, and the English meanings are our own explanations, not authoritative translations. The stories are retellings, in our own words, of accounts found in traditional texts; the same story is often told differently in different texts, and we name the text we follow. Where the origin of a text or story is uncertain, we say so. Reciting a mantra is a personal act of faith and practice. We do not claim that any mantra, shloka or story produces a particular result, and nothing on those pages, including any audio recitation, is medical, legal, financial or astrological advice or a substitute for professional advice. Audio, where provided, is for listening and is not instruction in correct pronunciation or ritual procedure; for formal practice, please learn from a qualified teacher. Please tell us if you notice a mistake.

6. Software-generated results and calculations

6.1 Many Results, including Birth Chart, Kundali Matching, Panchang, Muhurat, Rashiphal, transit and date tools and general predictions, are generated automatically by software using astronomical and astrological methods, data, and third-party calculation libraries or services. Unless a specific paid Service clearly says otherwise, automated Results are not reviewed by an astrologer.

6.2 Results depend on the information you enter and on calculation choices such as the ayanamsa, house system, location, time zone, historical time rules and rounding. Results may contain errors, omissions, delays or differences from other almanacs, software or astrologers, and may change if the software or its data is updated.

6.3 Results are provided "as available" and are not infallible. Please check important dates and decisions independently with a qualified person before you rely on them.

6.4 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we give no warranty that any Result is accurate, complete, current or suitable for your purpose.

7. Information you provide

7.1 The accuracy of a Kundali, prediction or matching result depends on the information you supply, including your date of birth, exact or approximate time of birth, place of birth, location and time zone, names, and other details. A small difference in time or place can change a chart.

7.2 You are responsible for giving correct and complete information. If you choose the "I don't know the exact birth time" option, the Website calculates for 12:00 noon, and the Result may differ from one based on the true time.

7.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any Result, prediction or consequence that arises from information that is incorrect, incomplete or estimated.

8. Kundali Matching and compatibility

8.1 Guna Milan, Manglik and other compatibility Results are indicative only. They are based on a selected traditional method (for example the Ashtakoota method) and on the details entered.

8.2 They are not a guarantee or prediction of compatibility, marital success or harmony, health, children, prevention of divorce or separation, or that a marriage or relationship will or will not succeed. They are not an assessment of anyone's character.

8.3 Different methods and astrologers can give different scores or conclusions. A score is not a verdict.

8.4 Whether to marry or to continue or end any relationship is a decision for the individuals and families involved alone. We are not responsible for any decision made or not made on the basis of a matching Result.

9. Panchang, Muhurat and timing information

9.1 This clause covers Panchang, Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, sunrise and sunset, moonrise, Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika, Choghadiya, Hora, Muhurat, festival dates, fasting dates and other calendar and timing information ("Timing Information").

9.2 Timing Information can vary according to location, time zone, calculation method, ayanamsa, regional tradition, local observance rules and other settings, and may differ from other calendars, temples, priests or astrologers. Times are shown for the location selected.

9.3 Where a mistake could have significant consequences, such as for weddings, ceremonies, travel, contracts, or medical or legal deadlines, please check the date and time independently with a qualified priest, astrologer or other authoritative source before you rely on it.

9.4 We do not promise that any Muhurat or auspicious time will bring success or avoid problems, or that an inauspicious time will bring harm.

9.5 Timing Information is not for navigation, safety or legal timekeeping.

10. Consultations and reports

10.1 A booking request is an invitation only. It becomes a contract when we confirm or accept it (by phone, email, message or any other means) or begin to provide the Service.

10.2 Dates and times are subject to availability. We may reschedule or decline a booking request.

10.3 A consultation or report expresses opinions as described in section 5. It is not professional advice.

10.4 You are responsible for giving correct details and for being available at the agreed time. A missed or very late appointment may be treated as used, or rescheduled at our discretion.

10.5 You must not record, publish or share a consultation, or share a report with others for commercial purposes, without our written permission.

11. Pooja, hawan, jaap and other religious services

11.1 These are traditional, religious and spiritual services. They are performed by priests or practitioners who may be engaged by us or by our associates, following a traditional procedure as that person understands it. Practices differ between regions and traditions.

11.2 We do not guarantee that any pooja, hawan, jaap or similar service will remove problems or delays; bring or secure marriage, employment, financial or business success; cure or improve any health condition; change another person's behaviour; produce any supernatural result; or lead to any particular material or personal outcome. Descriptions of benefits, on the Website or in conversation, express traditional belief and are not promises.

11.3 You are responsible for giving correct names and other details needed for the service. Dates and times may change because of the tithi, muhurat, the availability of the priest or practitioner, or materials, and we may adjust them.

11.4 Where a ritual is performed on your behalf or online, you accept that it is performed in that form. Any photographs, videos or messages that we choose to share are for information only and are not proof of, or a promise about, any outcome.

11.5 Cancellation is dealt with in section 14.

12. Remedies, gemstones, rudraksha and religious products

12.1 Remedy suggestions (such as mantras, gemstones, rudraksha, fasting or donations) and the descriptions of Products are based on traditional astrological and religious belief and practice. They are not guarantees and are not medical advice.

12.2 Whether to follow a remedy or buy a Product is your own decision. Do not use any remedy or Product in place of medical treatment.

12.3 We do not guarantee any result from wearing, using or worshipping any gemstone, rudraksha, mala, idol, root or other Product. We do not claim that any Product has medical, healing or supernatural properties. A statement that something is traditionally associated with a planet, deity or quality describes tradition only.

12.4 Natural products vary in colour, size, shape and markings, and photographs are for illustration. Sizes and weights are approximate unless stated otherwise. Unless a product page expressly says so, we do not state that a Product is certified, untreated, or of a particular grade or origin. A specification or certification stated on a product page applies to that Product only.

13. Orders, prices and payment

13.1 Prices are shown in Indian rupees (₹) and any taxes are shown as applicable at checkout. We may correct an error in a price or description. If we cancel an order because of such an error, any amount you paid for that order will be refunded or adjusted as required by applicable law.

13.2 An order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm it or dispatch it. We may decline or cancel an order, for example because of stock, an error, incomplete details, suspected fraud, or because we cannot deliver to your address.

13.3 Payment methods are those shown at checkout or notified to you for a Service. If you choose cash on delivery, you must be available to receive the order and pay on delivery. We may restrict cash on delivery for a customer who repeatedly refuses delivery.

13.4 Delivery is made to the address and by the method shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays by couriers and other third parties are outside our control.

13.5 If a payment has been debited but your order or booking is not confirmed, or you were charged twice, please contact us with the transaction details so that we can look into it.

14. Cancellations, refunds and returns

14.1 This section explains how cancellations, refunds and returns work. If we publish a separate cancellation, refund, shipping or returns policy, it applies in addition to this section, and the more specific provision applies to the Service or Product it covers.

14.2 Consultations and reports. Please contact us as early as possible to cancel or reschedule. Once a consultation has taken place, or a report has been prepared or delivered, it cannot be cancelled or refunded, to the extent permitted by law. Before that, a request to reschedule or cancel will be considered in good faith, depending on the circumstances.

14.3 Poojas, hawans, jaaps and other rituals. Preparation (such as arranging a priest, materials and a suitable time) starts once a booking is confirmed. Once preparation or performance has begun, or the scheduled date has passed, the service cannot be cancelled or refunded, to the extent permitted by law. Before that, a request to cancel will be considered in good faith. Any amount that is returned may be reduced by costs already incurred and by non-recoverable payment charges.

14.4 Products. Please check a Product when it is delivered. If it arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from its description, tell us promptly, giving the order number and photographs, and we will deal with the matter in line with applicable consumer law. Otherwise, returns, exchanges and refunds are available only as stated on the product page or in a returns policy that we publish. Products that have been used, worn, personalised or damaged after delivery may not be returnable, except where the law provides otherwise.

14.5 How refunds are made. Any refund that is agreed or legally required is paid by the original payment method or another method we agree with you, after deducting non-recoverable payment charges where the law allows. The time it takes depends partly on your bank or payment provider.

14.6 If we cancel. If we cancel a paid Service or order before providing it, we will refund or adjust the amount paid for the part not provided, as required by applicable consumer law.

14.7 Nothing in this section allows a charge that the law does not allow, or limits your rights under consumer law, including where a Service is deficient or not provided, or a Product is defective or not as described.

15. Website content, availability and technical matters

15.1 The Website and its Content are provided "as is" and "as available". The Content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, broken links, translation mistakes, software errors and calculation differences. We do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete or current.

15.2 We do not promise that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. It may be unavailable or slow because of maintenance, updates, hosting or network problems, third-party services, security incidents, or events beyond our reasonable control. We may change or suspend the Website at any time.

15.3 Problems caused by your device, browser, connection or settings are your responsibility.

15.4 Features that store information, such as saved kundalis, are a convenience. Please keep your own copy of anything important.

15.5 You may tell us about an error. We may, but are not obliged to, correct it.

16. Third-party services and links

16.1 The Website uses or links to services run by others, for example Google services (including analytics, maps, place search and fonts), live chat (Tawk.to), WhatsApp, translation services, hosting providers, external calculation and data services, and payment or courier providers if we introduce them. We do not own or control these services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and they may change, stop or fail without notice.

16.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the acts, omissions, failures, unavailability or data handling of third-party services, or for the content of other websites. You use them at your own risk.

16.3 If you contact us through WhatsApp or chat, the terms of those services apply. Please do not send passwords, card details or one-time passwords through them.

17. Events beyond our control

17.1 We are not liable for any delay, failure or interruption caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, government or regulatory orders or restrictions, power, internet, telecom or infrastructure failures, cyber attacks and other security incidents, strikes, and the failure or unavailability of third-party providers, priests, practitioners or couriers because of such events.

17.2 We may reschedule or adjust affected Services or orders. This section does not excuse us from obligations that the law does not allow to be excused.

18. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • break any law, or use the Website for fraud, impersonation, harassment or abuse;
  • hack, probe, overload, interfere with or try to gain unauthorised access to the Website, accounts, servers or data;
  • introduce viruses, malware or harmful code;
  • use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to extract data, copy Content or flood forms, Tools or the booking system;
  • misuse an account, or use someone else's account or identity;
  • post or submit unlawful, defamatory, abusive, misleading or infringing material;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • try to disrupt the operation of the Website, or resell our Services or Content without our written permission.

If you do, we may block your access, cancel your account or orders, report the matter to the authorities, and take any other action the law allows.

19. Intellectual property, Results and your content

19.1 The Website's original articles and text, design, layout and structure, logo and name, software, original reports, databases and compilation belong to VedicDisha or its licensors and are protected by law.

19.2 We do not claim ownership of astronomical facts, traditional or public-domain knowledge, or content that belongs to others and is shown on the Website.

19.3 You may view the Website and use the Tools for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, and you may save, print and share your own Results (such as your chart or matching result) for personal use, as long as you do not alter them or present them as anything other than what they are.

19.4 Without our written permission you must not copy, republish, sell, distribute or commercially use the Content, or scrape the Website or build a database or competing product from it. Short quotations that the law allows are not affected.

19.5 If you submit a comment, form entry or other content, you keep your rights in it. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, store and use it only as needed to run the Website and to provide the Service or feature for which you submitted it (for example, to show your comment, process your booking or order, or keep your saved kundali). This licence does not cover using your content as a testimonial or in marketing, which would need your separate permission. You confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it is lawful. We may remove any content at any time.

20. Limitation of liability

20.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, or any right you have as a consumer under law.

20.2 Subject to 20.1, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VedicDisha and its owners, partners, directors, employees, practitioners, priests and associates are not liable for:

  • (a) indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss;
  • (b) loss of opportunity, anticipated benefit, profit, income, goodwill, business or savings;
  • (c) financial, business, personal, emotional or other loss resulting from reliance on predictions, astrological content, Results, Muhurat, remedies or rituals, or from decisions made on the basis of them;
  • (d) loss resulting from incorrect, incomplete or estimated information that you provided;
  • (e) errors, omissions or differences in calculations, Content or translations;
  • (f) interruption or unavailability of the Website, loss of data, software faults, or security incidents;
  • (g) failures of third-party services;
  • (h) events described in section 17;
  • (i) the fact that a prediction, hoped-for result or outcome did not occur.

20.3 Subject to 20.1, if we are found liable to you for a paid Service or Product, our total liability for that claim is limited to the amount you actually paid for that specific Service or order. We are not liable for loss arising from the use of free Content or Tools, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

20.4 The Website, Tools and information are offered on the basis of traditional belief, many of them free of charge, and the limits in this section reflect that. If you are a consumer, sections 20.2 and 20.3 apply only to the extent permitted by consumer protection law.

21. Indemnity

You agree to compensate VedicDisha for losses, claims and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Website, your violation of the law, or content or information you submit that is unlawful, infringes the rights of others, or that you had no right to submit (including another person's details submitted without permission). This does not apply to the extent that the loss was caused by our own wrongdoing, or where the law does not allow it.

22. Suspension and termination

22.1 We may suspend, restrict or end your access, your account or an order or booking, at any time and with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or the law, misused the Website, acted fraudulently or put the Website or others at risk, or if we stop offering a feature.

22.2 You may stop using the Website at any time and may ask us to close your account.

22.3 Ending your access does not affect rights that have already arisen. Confirmed orders and payments are dealt with under section 14 and the law. Sections that by their nature should continue (including sections 5 to 9, 12, 16, 19, 20, 21 and 26) continue after your access ends.

23. Privacy

How we collect and use personal data, including contact details, birth details, addresses, orders, cookies and analytics, and chat messages, is explained in our Privacy Policy. These Terms do not replace the Privacy Policy. By using the Website you accept the handling of your data as described there.

24. Complaints

If you have a question or complaint, please write to our grievance contact in section 27, with your name, contact details, order or booking reference and a description of the problem. We deal with complaints as required by applicable law.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on the Website. If you keep using the Website after it is published, you accept the updated Terms for your future use. Updates do not affect orders or bookings already confirmed, or rights that have already arisen. Please check this page from time to time.

26. Governing law, disputes and general terms

26.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

26.2 If you have a dispute with us, please first contact us so that we can try to resolve it informally.

26.3 Subject to 26.4, disputes arising from these Terms or the Website are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India that have jurisdiction under applicable law.

26.4 If you are a consumer, your right to approach a Consumer Commission or other forum that has jurisdiction under law is not affected.

26.5 The Website is mainly intended for users in India. If you use it from elsewhere, you are responsible for complying with your local laws. Any consumer rights you have under mandatory local law are not affected.

26.6 These Terms, together with the policies referred to in section 1.3, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Website. If any part of them is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours. We may give you notices by posting them on the Website, on screen, or by email or message to the details you gave us. Headings are for convenience only.
